Where to Play Disc Golf in Niagara County

Whether you're a seasoned pro or just playing for fun, Niagara Falls USA has a number of disc golf courses for players of all levels. Read on to learn more about each of Niagara County's disc golf courses, located just a frisbee's throw away from the Falls.

What is Disc Golf?

Disc golf (sometimes referred to as frisbee golf or 'frolf') is similar to traditional golf in that there are typically nine or 18 holes on the course, and the goal is to complete each hole in the fewest number of throws. However, instead of using clubs and balls, disc golf players are throwing discs toward a basket.

Joseph Davis State Park

Situated along the Niagara River in Lewiston, Joseph Davis State Park has a mammoth 27-hole disc golf course. While that may sound daunting, many players agree that it's a very beginner-friendly course, as it is easy to navigate and not too challenging. Built in 1980, it is also one of the oldest disc golf courses in North America!

Royalton Ravine

If you're looking for more of a challenge, Royalton Ravine Park in Gasport, New York is the place to play. Its 18-hole disc golf course has a blend of open and wooded shots, varied elevation and tighter fairways. The park is also a local favorite for hiking and leaf-peeping!

Clyde L. Burmaster Park (Bond Lake)

Located in Ransomville, Bond Lake Park's disc golf course is a must-visit. Consistently ranked in the top 50 best disc golf courses in the world by the app U-Disc, visitors come from near and far to play the 18 holes at Bond Lake. The scenic course guides players along the Niagara Escarpment, providing gorgeous views of water, hills, and plenty of greenery.

Wilson-Tuscarora State Park

The Arrowhead Disc Golf Course in Wilson-Tuscarora State Park is a straightforward course with 18 holes of mostly wide-open fairways. However, sometimes the winds coming off of Lake Ontario can provide more of a challenge! After playing, explore the nearby hamlet of Olcott for charming restaurants, beach views and fishing opportunities.
