Where to Play Disc Golf in Niagara County
Whether you're a seasoned pro or just playing for fun, Niagara Falls USA has a number of disc golf courses for players of all levels. Read on to learn more about each of Niagara County's disc golf courses, located just a frisbee's throw away from the Falls.
What is Disc Golf?
Disc golf (sometimes referred to as frisbee golf or 'frolf') is similar to traditional golf in that there are typically nine or 18 holes on the course, and the goal is to complete each hole in the fewest number of throws. However, instead of using clubs and balls, disc golf players are throwing discs toward a basket.
The sport was formalized in the 1970s, and has grown in popularity in recent years. Check out the Professional Disc Golf Association (PDGA) or the Disc Golf Association (DGA) for more information on how to play, the official rules, history and more.
