Day 1

Start your romantic getaway on a high. Once in Niagara Falls State Park — America’s oldest! — head to the Observation Tower for a panoramic view over the Niagara Gorge and all three Falls. Then, get a closer look care of a classic boat ride; the Maid of the Mist, operating since 1846, sails lovebirds right up to the base of American Falls and Horseshoe Falls.

Grab a picnic and enjoy the park’s scenic 400 acres, or work up a sweat on one of the many hiking trails — from easy to challenging — that lead you to scenic vistas. Later, enjoy dinner at Parkway Prime Steakhouse & Lounge, where you’ll be in strolling distance to witness the nightly Falls illumination — the perfect way to cap off your first night.

Day 2

Get Adventurous

Day 3

Wine and Dine

Start your day with a scenic bike ride — rent a bike through Reddy Bikeshare and pedal around Goat Island. Situated between the Bridal Veil Falls and Horseshoe Falls, the island has several vantage points to take in the beauty of the Falls, and plenty of walking and bike trails. Day 4

Get Some Culture

Hold your honey’s hand and take a stroll through Niagara Falls’ “Champions of Change” murals near the Underground Railroad Museum. Then it’s off to Castellani Art Museum of Niagara University, which houses an impressive collection ranging from the romance of the impressionists to the thought-provoking contemporary pieces of artists such as Basquiat.

Your last stop is cute-as-can-be Lewiston, where you can end the journey on a sweet note with a stop at (seasonal) Hibbard’s Original Frozen Custard.
