March 15: Changing Seasons

1:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m. Join us for a short hike and watch winter melt away as we search for signs of spring!
March 20: Spring into Spring Seniors Walk
Reservoir State Park, 5777 Witmer Road, Niagara Falls
11:30 a.m.-1:00 p.m. Join a park naturalist as we spring into the next season on this relaxing stroll along an accessible pathway in Reservoir State Park! For seniors aged 62 and up.
March 20: Eco-Friendly Rock Painting
Niagara Falls State Park, 332 Prospect St., Niagara Falls
5:30 p.m.-6:30 p.m. Let your creativity shine during our eco-friendly rock painting activity. This family friendly program allows visitors to decorate stones with colorful designs or wildlife inspired artwork.

4:30 p.m.-6:00 p.m. Welcome in spring with a walk through the woods behind the soccer fields in search of buds on trees and spring ephemerals!
March 22: Get Ready for Spring Migration
Niagara Falls State Park, 332 Prospect St., Niagara Falls
10:00 a.m.-11:30 a.m. Enjoy a presentation covering a few key species that migrate through our area, including identification tips and behavior. Then go on a short birding walk on Goat Island.
March 23: Spring Gorge Stroll
Devil's Hole State Park, Niagara Scenic Parkway, Niagara Falls
10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Take a leisurely stroll along trail 2 with an educator and learn more about the signs of spring!
March 29: Vernal Pool Exploration
Joseph Davis State Park, 4143 Lower River Road, Lewiston
2:00 p.m.-3:30 p.m. Greeted with the sounds of spring, explore the trails of Joseph Davis in search of vernal pools!
April 1: Falls Misconceptions

4:30 p.m.-6:00 p.m. April Fools! Celebrate this annual day of practical jokes and hoaxes with a walk around Niagara Falls to hear all the misconceptions surrounding the area that our team has heard over the years!
April 5: Tails on Trails at DeVeaux Woods
DeVeaux Woods State Park, 3120 De Veaux Woods Drive, Niagara Falls
10:00 a.m.-11:30 a.m. Bring your furry friend on this casual walk through the new and old growth woods at DeVeaux while discovering the park's history and what critters might call this park home.
April 5: Vernal Pool Exploration
Joseph Davis State Park, 4143 Lower River Road, Lewiston
2:00 p.m.-3:30 p.m. Greeted with the sounds of spring, explore the trails of Joseph Davis in search of vernal pools!
April 6: Nature Walk
Golden Hill State Park, 9691 Lower Lake Road, Barker
1:00 p.m.-2:30 p.m. Join a park naturalist on a casual hike through the vast trail system at Golden Hill State Park sitting right off of Lake Ontario.
April 12: DIY Birdhouses
Niagara Falls State Park, 332 Prospect St., Niagara Falls
11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Join a park naturalist in a hands-on birdhouse building program. We will talk about some common backyard birds, their nesting preferences and their importance. Then participants will get the opportunity to assemble and take home their own birdhouse.

April 21: Beginner Bird Walk

9:30 a.m.-10:30 a.m. Join a park naturalist on a beginner friendly guided walk to learn the basics of birding, binoculars will be provided but attendees are welcome to bring their own as well!
April 22: Stargazing Under the Lyrids
Golden Hill State Park, 9691 Lower Lake Road, Barker
8:30 p.m.-10:00 p.m. Join a park naturalist under stars as we explore the peak of the Lyrid Meteor shower and other constellations in our night sky. Curious beginners and warm clothing encouraged.
April 26: Woofs and Waterfalls
Niagara Falls State Park, 332 Prospect St., Niagara Falls
10:00 a.m.-11:30 a.m. Enjoy a leisurely walk with your dog and a park naturalist around Goat Island. It is not necessary to have a dog to participate, however, all dogs in attendance must be up-to-date on immunizations, leashed and under control.
April 26: Trees in Bloom
Niagara Falls State Park, 332 Prospect St., Niagara Falls
1:00 p.m.-2:30 p.m. Enjoy a presentation on how to identify some key species in spring through flowers, buds, leaf scars and seeds. Then talk a walk to see these species out in the park.
April 27: Invasive Species
Niagara Falls State Park, 332 Prospect St., Niagara Falls
1:00 p.m.-2:00 p.m. An introduction to invasive species found in Western New York from terrestrial to aquatic and learn about the identification and history of our most commonly found invasive species.
