A Culinary Tour of Old Falls Street
Located just outside of Niagara Falls State Park sits Old Falls Street, a three-block cobblestone street serving as an entertainment district for residents and visitors alike. Whether you’re in search of a small snack, scrumptious spread or something to sip on, here’s where to satisfy your appetite on Old Falls Street.
Savory Bites
Looking for something to please the whole family? We’ve got you covered. Flip Burger has freshly grilled hamburgers and hot dogs, french fries and more, while Mario’s Pizza offers classic New York slices, as well as artisan, gluten-free and vegan pizzas.
Tantalize your taste buds and build your own taco or burrito at Cantina Falls. Or, stop by Royal Dragon for some of the best Chinese food in Niagara Falls – and don’t skip the bubble tea!
Mix in a history lesson while you munch at the Cataract House, previously a world-renowned luxury hotel – and major stop on the Underground Railroad. Indulge in dishes like oxtail gumbo or smoked St. Louis ribs while taking in the restaurant’s micro art gallery.
In addition, Old Falls Street has a variety of rotating and seasonal food trucks along the street.
Sit-Down Delights
A sit-down meal may be more your style. If so, head to Savor, the Niagara Falls Culinary Institute’s upscale dining restaurant. Savor provides a prix fixe lunch and dinner menu, each containing several courses. While the menu rotates seasonally, expect dishes like fresh salads, flavorful flatbreads, expertly seared steaks, or seafood such as salmon and scallops.
Grabbing a table at the Rainforest Café will keep your adventurous momentum going! Located in the Sheraton Niagara Falls, this eatery is an attraction itself. Enjoy your meal with a side of lush foliage, jungle animals, thunderstorms and starry skies.
Sweet Tooth Satisfiers
You can’t complete all of your sightseeing without a little something sweet! Bryce’s Ice Cream has perfectly swirled soft serve ice cream that always hits the spot. If you want to branch out, try one of their unique flavors like black raspberry or cool mint. Sprinkles are always encouraged.
La Patisserie, a French-inspired pastry shop, will whisk you away to Paris. Here, you can taste sophisticated European sweets like fresh-made croissants, delicate macarons, creamy tiramisu, and assorted gelato. Or, opt for familiar favorites like chocolate chip cookies, cinnamon sticky buns and colorfully frosted cupcakes. Bon Appetit!
Thirst Quenchers and Refreshers
Don’t forget to hydrate! Cool off with a bottled water or soda from the Old Falls Street kiosk, just outside of the Niagara Falls State Park entrance.
For your caffeine fix, head to Starbucks, located in the Sheraton Niagara Falls, or visit Swift Current Eatery, also on site, for a refreshing fruit smoothie.
If you want something a bit stronger, sample tastings of locally grown and produced wine at Marjim Manor at the Falls.
Many of these locations are seasonal. Please check each location’s dates and hours of operation before visiting.
